Situation

In 99% of interviews you will be asked: “Tell me about yourself.” Mastering this question is one of the most important things you can do to leave a lasting impression on your interviewer. Most people brush this question off and wing it without any prep. Don’t be underprepared, and utilize this skeleton to craft the the perfect response.

Template:

  1. Briefly introduce yourself.
  2. Provide a brief overview of your educational and professional background. This can include your current job or field of study, as well as any relevant degrees or certifications you have.
  3. Describe your relevant skills and experience. This could include specific technical skills or industry experience, as well as any notable accomplishments or responsibilities you have had in your career.
  4. Share a little bit about your personal interests and hobbies. This can help give the interviewer a sense of who you are as a person and what motivates you outside of work.
  5. Conclude by explaining why you are interested in the role and why you believe you are a good fit for the company.

Example:
